Digitizing / IO / RED Transcoding

We load and label files for maximum productivity, so when you return your finished work to us, we can master without a hitch. Our depth of knowledge means that your project - HD or SD - has accurate compression settings and other technological tweaks so it looks amazing whether it's streamed on the internet or screened on DVD.

Working with RED changes all the rules. After shooting, you have a “digital negative”—your RAW vision. What you do next with that RAW vision will determine the full range of possibilities for your project. Transcoding RAW files is not an exact science, and our experience and resources in mastering and finishing means that we’ll take the necessary care in working with your digital negative. While transcoding your files, we’ll be setting the “latitude” for your look, ensuring the proper balance of gamma, hue, and saturation for optimal color correction later on. This process of grading while we transcode—what we call “TransGrading”—is the difference you’ll get at West Post with your RED projects.
DVD Design, Authoring & Replication
Our one stop shopping approach carries over into DVD creation since there are substantial efficiencies gained by using the media that’s already on our drives to create the elements for your DVD project.
